Indeed. That function just stores data into a guest memory.
Dom0 must not be affected by that.

Actually dom0 doesn't hang up but any new process can't be executed
with segment fault. (old processes are still alive)
I can't figure out what's happening yet.

Because direct Linux boot shall be supported on ia64 in the future.
It might be impossible because ia64 platform requires EFI...
but passing boot parameters is attractive.
