I think it's Ubuntu-specific.  I think we'd have heard if recent
Debian unstable has it, but I could be wrong.  Perhaps the Debian
users are using the official Debian packages.

It'll be a simple fix which I'll test to make sure it doesn't have any
effect on the build when you don't turn it on :-).
