Hi,

I don't have much experience with XEN and this is also my first bug-report.

In a few words, I'm trying to run DB2 inside the XEN OS with the purpose of
assessing the performance of different algorithms for index selection.

I've tried installing DB2 on a XEN guest machine and I got the message you can
see below.

Somebody got some similar problem ( ./libimf.so: cannot restore segment
prot...) but related to the fortran compiler.

Crashing pattern:

The Guest OS is crashing and the only way to get it back is to xm destroy X and
restarting the guest OS. The hypervisor seems to exhibit no problems during
this process though.

If I start vnc server the DISPLAY variable is properly set and I don't get the
message regarding the DISPLAY but I get the same crashing pattern. I guess the
DISPLAY has nothing to do with this.

Any sugestion would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Adrian

The DISPLAY variable is not set properly. Ensure that the DISPLAY variable is
set properly and that permissions are set properly to open windows on the
display specified, then rerun the command.
