[Xen-bugs] [Bug 654] New: NAT networking: IP address never reused
| http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=654
Summary: NAT networking: IP address never reused
           Product: Xen
           Version: 3.0.1
          Platform: x86-64
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: minor
          Priority: P2
         Component: Tools
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: greenrd@xxxxxxxxxxx
I use NAT networking exclusively because it means I don't have to go through
the bureaucracy of registering my virtual machines on the campus network.
However, whenever I reboot a domain, a new IP address is picked for the guest,
and I have to adjust resolv.conf and a DNAT rule in my firewall.
Would it not make more sense to reuse the same IP address?
