[Xen-bugs] [Bug 492] New: Xend allows broadcast MAC addresses for	virtua
| http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=492
Summary: Xend allows broadcast MAC addresses for virtual
                    interfaces
           Product: Xen
           Version: 2.0
          Platform: x86
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: minor
          Priority: P2
         Component: Tools
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: juha.kuikka@xxxxxxxxx
In guest domain's virtual interface configuration a MAC address that is
broadcast address is accepted. This of course does not work in the network so a
hard-to-debug behaviour is caused.
In my opinion xend should check the MAC address and at least comment something
if a broadcast mac is entered. Or at least make a note in the example domain
configuration files.
