[Xen-bugs] [Bug 156] New: Domain builder should deal with broken	initrds
| http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=156
Summary: Domain builder should deal with broken initrds
           Product: Xen
           Version: unstable
          Platform: x86
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Tools
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: aliguori@xxxxxxxxxx
                CC: hohnbaum@xxxxxxxxxx
SLES9's mkinitrd will generate junk after the gzip'd data. This causes the
domain builder to abort. I think this is a valid thing to do.
I'd like to wait and see if this is an issue for any other platform other than
SLES9. I'm operating on the assumption that it's a bug in their mkinitrd.
The work-around is simply to decompress and recompress the initrd with gzip.
