Regarding your questrions,
Answer to Q 1)
Due to large differences in requirements and constraints on computing resources between consumer electronics (CE) devices using ARM
and IT devices using x86, migrating Xen ARM base to Xen 4.0.0 is likely to cause substantial computing overheads on CE.
Major CE developers are not likely to accept increase of computing overheads.
You can find performance of Xen ARM using LMBench at

For your information, minimum memory footprint of Xen ARM is around 1 MB and its binary code size is less than 150 kbytes.
Answer to Q 2)
I do not use the mercurial tree for Xen ARM since 2009.
Instead, you can find the source code at the Xen ARM wiki at wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenARM.
At the moment, it is not possible to download the source code, but
within a month, I will release a updated source code that supports the features in the slide ->

I hope one day we can migrate Xen ARM base to the latest Xen one and be maintined as part of Xen mainline.
I would like to discuss this issue and find a good solution.

What is the status of the Xen ARM project? In particular, I have the following questions:
1) Are there any plans to migrate XenARM from the current Xen 3.0.2 base to Xen 4.0.0?
2) Where is the current Xen ARM source code? On the “Xen ARM Project” page (wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenARM) the section entitled “How To Get, Build and Run Secure Xen on ARM” indicates that “most users should stick with the Mercurial trees listed here:” but does not list any Mercurial trees. That same section says that “More details on how to obtain the source, build and run” are found in the Secure Xen on ARM User’s Guide, but I don’t see any information about how to obtain the source code in the referenced file.
3) It appears that the Xen ARM source code is not part of xen-unstable.hg (there is no “arm” folder under \xen\arch). Are there any plans to make ARM a target architecture in the main branch of development for Xen?
