You need to use a linux-gnueabi compiler.
We are currently using gcc version 4.2.0, from the MV Mobilinux release. the 
target is 'armv5tl-montavista-linux-gnueabi'.

You should not change that setting since low level library functions (libgcc) 
rely on it.
